Cytotoxic Spill Clean-up can be very confusing. What Guidelines or Protocols do you follow? WorkSafe / eviQ / write your own? eviQ are the leaders in providing information relating to all facets of Cancer treatment including spill clean-up. Many States follow the eviQ guidelines for spill clean-up therefore, we have created a Cytotoxic Spill Clean-up Kit that meets the eviQ guidelines for clean-up of a liquid spill up to 1 litre.
Our Australian MEDSpill kits are colour coded for easy identification. The bright purple spill kit box indicates it is a cytotoxic spill kit which makes it stand out and is nice and easy to find.
We have a label on the lid of the kit featuring the telophase symbol, identifying that it is a Cytotoxic Spill Clean-up Kit also detailing the expiry date for your kit and on the side of the kit there is a full contents list. The contents list makes it easy to carry out regular auditing of your spill kits to ensure they are complete and ready for use. It is important to note that all cytotoxic kits are single use. If you have followed the clean-up protocol correctly, you will not have any left overs therefore, a full replacement kit needs to be purchased.
The Cytotoxic Spill Clean-up Kit (eviQ) is designed to clean up 1 litre of a Cytotoxic liquid spill.
Your kit also comes with a booklet which contains key information about the kit such as SDS for the contents and a spare copy of the clean-up protocol.
